THE REAL HUNDREDFOLD
Only recently God showed me something very very powerful in his Word, writes Rev. David P Griffiths.
"Let me show you the real hundredfold", he declared. As a Minister who has lost, rather than gained a million pounds since going into Christian Ministry we have often felt intimidated by wealthy looking "Faith Ministers" who display their designer suits, big cars and gold jewellery as a sign that God is blessing their ministry.
By planting a seed into their ministry you can be blessed too. Over the years we have been conned by this formula believing we can move into God's blessings by giving to an affluent Minister who looks well off - indeed he probably is.
On numerous occasions we have been promised a return but we have got poorer and poorer until the day God took me aside and told me I had inherited my hundredfold.
Mark 10: 28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
"Look at the qualification", the Lord Jesus said. "Left all - to follow thee". we had given our lives to the Lord and this included our wealth. To fulfil our calling in God we knew we had to have more wealth so my wife Lindsay and I ploughed our resources into a Christian Craft & Tourist outlet in Inverness. The Managers at our branch of the Bank of Scotland declared that our business plan was the best thet had seen!
Our shop opened in Church Street Inverness with visitors from all over the World. Our turnover was huge for the late 1980's of near a quarter of a million pounds but it seemed as if everything came against us!
My wife Lindsay had a word of knowledge to say that two married members of staff (and we employed only Christians) were having sex together on our premises. I remember the day I confronted this, in God's strength as to have a Word of Knowledge like this requires great wisdom from God.
In the morning devotions I read aloud the 23rd. Psalm. I can remember it now - though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil - for Thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff - they comfort me.
I approached the female adulterer first. Her denial for twenty minutes one knew was a very dissent from Satan himself until that was broken for an admission of the sin to come out!
I followed by approaching the male sinner, a local Preacher in evangelical circles. He dressed smart and said all the right things and like his female accomplise he denied having had sex with the female staff member eventually accepting he had been found out - not by Lindsay's word of knowledge - but by a wimb she had had! How covenient for a cessationist.
The male member left but after an apparent repentance I kept on the female staff member who took on all the characteristics of the male - now ex member. She said she would tell her unsaved husband of the sin when he got saved!
Our part in this was naiivity. we thought that those who called themselves Christians were. We trusted people finding out the hard way for once the male member of staff had left we found over half a million pounds (retail value) of stock missing, Lindsay my wife having a further Word of Knowledge to say that it had been transferred to Ireland.
We had begun our path to losing everything. We had a beautiful hill top house overlooking the Beauly Firth in Scorguie that had to go. The Beauly Firth is featured here to give impression of what our view was like.
We had moved from there to a less expensive barn conversion in Nairn but this had to go to.
We were bankrupt. We had ploughed all we had into the business with a view of gaining money to fulfil our vision from God, but with the embezzlement in our business along with the second busiest tourist office in Scotland moving from opposite our Tourist shop, a fire in a local hotel blocking off our road for a considerable period, and with the opening of a local disco resulting in youth gangs wandering around - then all of this meant that we were in trouble!

We had also lost money on land we had bought to build a house in Kiltarlity. By being a day late with our money we missed out from buying another house in Kiltarlity, Rossshire - all our money seemed to go, the seller of the Kiltarlity house suing us for being one day late - the Court demanding we pay thousands in compensation and not get the house - such as it is under Scottish law.
In amongst all of this we had our baby David Christopher go to heaven at birth, his bodily grave being on the Black Isle.
What was noticeable was the number of Christian friends we had when we were rich and the number of Christian friends we had when we were poor. Plots in the Christian world built up against us. We were thrown out of FGBMFI and not welcome in the mainstream for the first time realising that the true Church is just a remnant - one particular couple I have to mention being Jock & Eva MacAskill who stood with us through all the suffering.
Another Christian I mention is Willie Wood, our Solicitor at Munro & Noble who was so supportive even crying in prayer in our shop when we were in trouble. Our Accountant Alan Nelson was a great support too, he gave us all his best advice and wondered why what he told us did not work as it worked for everybody else.

Lindsay's Word of Knowledge had opened up a mammoth can of worms and we remember this as an amazing growth area in our ministry for through this came a whole heap of situations that led to us losing all we had - the qualification for the hundredfold.
During the time of losing our houses, a dear couple called James and Sally Wolfe-Murray took us into their huge house, the House of Daviot an old Scottish mansion house situated near Culloden Moor.
They were so kind but had great spiritual battles too, their house being haunted with a monk like figure, our own son Matthew seeing a manifestation of a spiritual monkey in his childhood. Of course we took the action required by the Lord in his leadings but God was calling us to great things for we had moved from believing that this was going to need great wealth to being able to lean on him.
Miraculously Lindsay got a job at The Queens School Chester where she is now Joint Head of Classics and I became a student at Elim Bible College where I was expecting to be part of the great Pentecostal Movement pioneered by George Jeffreys. We moved into rented accomodation in Nantwich, then Crewe before buying a house in Neston Wirral, a fine old house, another house we lost money on - about £30,000 in one week. Remember the words of Peter - we have given up all!!!!!
Moving into the house at Neston was if all hell let loose. On the day of moving in youth gangs were starting fires in the garden. We saw barricades go up in the street where we lived for street battles. We knew we had to get out exchanging the house for one in Haslington near Crewe, a house we really could not afford but felt forced to buy because of the threat to our land in Neston.
Our battleground with buying houses had started again until we eventually sold the house opting for rented property in Prestatyn, North Wales.
During our time in Crewe we had begun the charity "Life Changing Ministries International Church South Cheshire Trust" and a local church operation in Crewe which later moved on to various locations around Cheshire. God was preparing a mission Church Ministry through all the suffering Lindsay and I had been through.
We were wiser and more alert than before. Much of our naivity had gone but having been at Elim Bible College for four years we realised that the once great Pentecostal Movements of the past had moved away from their ancient landmark. Here we were however standing on the old principles. We had opted out of the establishment that had infiltrated movements founded by suffering people - their sacrifice now stolen by those with a Higher Criticism University Education.
I had refused the degree Elim had offered me through its Manchester University Masters, the Assemblies of God in 1924 warning of the very department Elim was issuing its degrees through.

An example of the heresy coming out of Elim Bible College, this piece of the European Pentecostal Theological Association by Assemblies of God's David Petts who calls the fulfilment passage of Matthew as a "aside of the evangelist". Would the early pioneers have called any part of scripture "an aside"?
By this time Lindsay and I had lost houses, our middle son David Christopher had gone to heaven at birth, our radical stance had meant we had lost friends too and now the degree I had worked four years for was lost too. God told me not to accept it. It was the cry of Peter. We were beginning to learn what this was all about.
We rented houses at Prestatyn & Deganwy not wanting to buy a house again with all the losses that activity had entailed.
Our hearts had changed, however, for now we were relying on him but with having lost our inheritance the threat of further eviction was always with us and this is what happened to us at Deganwy but not for financial reasons.
Our eldest son Matthew had been diagnosed with autism which meant that occasionally he would act strangely. After successfully renting in Prestatyn we moved to a larger house in Deganwy which was like a restoration to us of our large house in Scorguie, Inverness. Both houses overlooked estuaries, the Deganwy house overlooking Conwy Castle and the place where the Afon Conwy enters the sea.
The house in Deganwy had a balcony and during the night Matthew serenaded the whole community, the position of the house on a hill meaning his serenading was heard all over the village, our own bedroom being higher up and so we were unaware of his activity. We were issued with a legal document to leave giving us only a short time to find a house.
With all our experiences of losing huge amounts on property we did not want to buy again but found a house for sale in Rhos On Sea, a beautiful village on the North Wales Coast. It was a miracle to get a mortgage but this we did and moved into this house with Lindsay's mother Elspeth who had lived with us in Prestatyn. Deganwy and now Rhos.

Everyone seemed to tell us that you gain financially by owning property. This has never been our experience in our married life.
During this time of moving to Wales we continued our ministry work in Cheshire expanding into Wales where we have ministered in Buckley, Mold, Prestatyn, Llandudno and Rhos.
Throughout of all of our ministry both in Cheshire and Wales we have had an overwhelming passion for mission both in U.K. and overseas.
Having ministered greatly in Sri Lanka, India and throughout the U.K. it was clear that God had a heart for our Church ministry to be on the move putting on conferences in war torn areas like the North of Sri Lanka, bringing humanitarian aid like we did during the Tsunami period in Asia, and more recently during the political crisis in Kenya.

Although only £15,000 was raised through our operations, we had ministers on the ground like Rev Sunder Manuelraj to ensure ALL THE MONEY was used to bring humanitarian relief after the Tsunami in Sri Lanka where the ethnic divide brought great belief that funds were held back from the Tamil minority. peoples. NO ADMIN COSTS were taken, no political holding back from governments took place with our funds - it reached many people without any access to the BIG FUND reduced by the administrative reduction the big charities put on!
Now our ministry has grown over the internet we have many contacts all over the World and during 2008 we were able to send funds to Kenya where ethnic cleansing took place with those of minority tribes burnt alive in a vicious process of death and destruction.
Last year our home came to be a refuge for 2 political refugees: Rev. Dr Suresh Ramachandran and Minister Barrack from Kenya who had been involved in Kenya's election and thus had to flee for his life.
Rev Dr Suresh Ramachandran is Principal of Mount Carmel Theological College in Sri Lanka, perhaps the most persecuted College in the World with Buddhist organizations making false accusations and giving threats, threats that have been stopped from fruition through the power of Almighty God.
You will see from this testimony that the things of this world have gone strangely dim for us and although we have not been able to go physically on mission since 2005 because of financial restrictions our ministry has grown enormously through the internet.
My dad had been a WEC missionary during the 1930's having been trained under Rees Howells.

Through all our sufferings the Lord took us back to this landmark of complete surrender. The College I had gone to never used a Bible despite of its then title "Elim Bible College." That place has been stolen by the manipulators of "higher criticism" and so I know it is right to take legal action against this College. It is no longer run by the Christians of the Foursquare Gospel but it is under the "god of this world" authorities of the kingdom of Satan. I have the proof and know the resources they have are to be transferred to those of the Foursquare Gospel Holiness Landmark.
I know we have the power and authority in the wonderful Name of Jesus. Throughout our Christian walk in Britain we have seen nothing but deceit and deception.
At this time in Britain, the corruptions of the banking system is being exposed. We ourselves are in legal action against 10 banking institutions who have sold us credit deals admidst our troubles in a manner of tricking us into deals we did not understand, but how much more have we been tricked in Britain's counterfeit Church.

The corruption of Inverness, of Elim Bible College and characters who enter churches bringing people in initially and then taking them away with half of your own original congregation. Gosh! we have seen so many scams in Churches, of Jezebels giving false prophecies, of heavy shepherding ministers tricking and conning their congegations.
In the same way as we are standing up to banks we are going to stand up to the phoney Church - claiming back to the True Gospel that which has been stolen and so if you have had similar experiences - please let us know.
Back to the Hundredfold ....
God took me aside - you know you have given up all to follow me. "Do you realise you have houses, brethren, sisters, fathers, mothers, children all over the world - there yours" - the hundredfold is not about money - its about heart and as we see in the case of us all especially Dr. Suresh - its about persecutions too!
Mark 10: 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you,
There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
